There once was a little girl who came from a poor family. She would wear hand-me-down dresses that she got from he mother’s family, and at school her dresses were old and worn. The other schoolgirls would laugh at her and she never met a boyfriend. Her school uniform was too old and worn out for the little girl to be popular among the other children at all. She went through her childhood like that and when she finally finished high school, she had to go off and work in the local factory because the family was poor and they badly needed the money to live on. She used to wear factory dresses that all of the working girls wore and still she was miserable and very lonely. The boys in town would hardly give her a second look in her working clothes, although she was actually quite a pretty lass. No money meant no man for her and so she labored on in the factory day-by-day earning a meager living to support her folks at home. She and a friend went to the local Church fete one Sunday and there she saw the most beautiful red dress up for winning in the Church lottery. Her friend convinced her to buy a ticket in the draw to win the splendid dress and imagine her surprise when the winning ticket was called, and they called out her number; 763 the lottery man shouted. She danced around with joy and then went home fitting on the beautiful red dress at one. It fitted perfectly and for once in her life she looked like a real princess. She decided to try out the dress at the local Town Hall dance the next Saturday, and when she walked on the dance floor all of the boys looked at her beauty in wonder. A handsome young man from one of the wealthiest families in the district asked her for a dance at once, and the two of them danced the night away into the small midnight hours. Love bloomed for her for the first time in her life, and at the end of the evening the rich young boy was so in love, that he asked her for her hand in marriage almost at once. She wore many fine dresses after that one, and true love was a way of life for them both for all of their lives. Love had found the Cinderella girl at last and she was always as happy as she was pretty for all of her days. The flower that blooms late is often the most beautiful of them all.
