Silver lining

SILVER LINING

`Every cloud has a silver lining,`

he said.

I trusted him.

More in ignorance than faith.

I thought it was true.

Before I left he said

"You have betrayed me."

And I felt guilty.

More out of fear than out of love.

And when I called out

the echoe of my voice mocked me.

I felt as if it was all happening to someone else.

And he said

`Jesus will forgive you,`

but I could not find my way to love.
