December 31st 1929 New Year’s Eve, people crowded the streets of Manhattan downtown, a celebration to bring in a New Year of 1930. This was the year everyone who was in the stock market business became wealthy. Not knowing five weeks later, they will suffer the great compression. Stock markets were hit hard costing almost everyone to lose their money. People lost their homes, fancy and businesses cars and some became homeless on the streets. Angered people roam the streets robbing and fighting one another. Accepted for one-man’ name Charles liverwort.
A tall skinny man with long blond hair, he wears in a ponytail. Charles liverwort was a billionaire; he had no wife or children. Just him living the life that many wish they could have. Charles liverwort was not selfish. He loved to help people and donate to charities. People loved him; he was an icon for many. He threw parties almost every weekend, inviting whoever wants to attend.
One day Charles liverwort was at home. Since he did not have a cook, he cooked dinner himself for a date, a woman he had met the night of New Year Eve. The woman was name Lidia, a tall slender built woman with a face of a goddess. Charles went into the guest room where Lidia was sitting quietly to let her know dinner was ready. As he led her into the eating area, Lidia was quite surprised at what Charles had cooked. He pulled out her chair and gave her a kiss.
“Wow Charles I didn’t know you were a great cook.” Lidia said as she spreads a napkin a crossed her lap.
“Well, you know’ I live alone so I had to learn how to cook for myself. Beside when I was a little boy, I help my mother cook dinner for seven, so I that is where I learn to cook. ” Charles replied as he brings out the food from the kitchen.
Once all the foods placed on the table. Lidia asked what his secret is because the food smells delicious. Charles smiled and told her a great cook never shares his secrets. However, assured her that it will be the best she will ever have tasted. After they have eaten dinner and had desert. Lidia asks Charles what was that meat he served because it was very tasteful.
Charles laughed and replied. “It was chopped beef, very top of the line, very delicate meat that cost a few people their lives, so I can have it.”
Lidia laughed “I'm sure it has cost people their lives, most are too poor to afford, so that’s when you come and buy it all.” She jokingly replied.
Charles sits in his favorite chair not laughing “that’s not very nice to say about the poor Lidia, I was once poor, very unfortunate where I had to savage food from trash bins’ people like you made fun of me because I was meager” He said with a very un-welcoming look.
Lidia stared at Charles with a culpability look “meager? What kind of word is that Spanish, and calm down I was only joking.” She replied as she massages his shoulders.
Charles quickly jumped from his seat and grabbed his bat, knocking Lidia out. “Meager means bad and unsatisfying in quality, strength, or effectiveness, you dumb broad!” he said with lots of anger, and dragged her lifeless body in his butcher’s room where he stores meat.
A few hours later Lidia found herself bound to a table. Charles sits a crossed from her sharpen his knives. He looked at her mean less and motionless as she tried to free herself. Then Charles stood up and walked to her as she lay struggling.
“You know Lidia, its bad when you make fun of other people just because they’re poor or don’t have enough to eat. You see I am Charles liverwort! The wealthiest man in alive. I help the unfortunate by feeding, clothing, or giving them meat so they can have a more comfortable day.” He said while he takes off her clothes.
Lidia was very terrified and crying. “Please, don’t hurt me was only joking, please Charles, I have three beautiful young girls at home. Please let me go home.” She calmly said.
Charles gave a little of a laugh and replied, “I would let you go, but I can’t. You know that meat you ate for dinner Lidia. It was all human meat. Most of them were naive little bitches like you. Yes, I brought them here and tied them in that exact spot and I sliced and dice them all for their flesh and meat, to give to the poor families who can’t afford meat, people love me for that they don’t know what they are eating.” Charles said as he placed a huge bucket underneath a pipe that stretched across from one wall to another.
Charles then ties a rope around Lidia ankles, and threw the other end up looping a metal pipe, and he pulled Lidia up high ‘hanging her upside down. Lidia screamed as Charles raised a blade, and he carefully gutted Lidia alive. He placed each organ in a plastic bag to be refrigerated. The next morning Charles was out on the storefront giving away free fresh meat to the poor. He gave with a smile of joy, he rejoiced each person to have a good day.
A patrol officer who passed by, leaned out his window and said “Hey Charles my wife really enjoyed the steaks. Man I must’ve ate a lot of it’ keep up the good work!”
As Charles passed out bags of meat, no one stopped and asked where he gotten all the meat. For all they knew he's a billionaire. Charles Liverwort sat out in front of a store with a friendly smile, and watched people from all over town to come get his priceless meat. Then he read the headline of the daily newspaper of missing people. Charles liverwort laughed and laughed.
