Streetlights in the night;
late after the pubs and cafes have closed;
voices and conversations long gone to slumber
in houses a tumble within eiderdown quilts and candlelight;
windows of dreams;
windows of the soul gazing through the eyes of love;
Hold your breath
and another completes your dream;
music in your arms when you smile;
a dove folding its wings in the garden;
your heart makes me quiet;
footsteps upon the notes of my composition;
your smle when you find me in the night;
love;
grey wings that fly above the sun in the dawn of a london morning;
tea brewing as you open the windows and gaze into my heart;
the beats you count when you close your eyes
and i see your eyes gazing into the morning light.
I catch my breath
my cello in the studio near the fireplace that keeps you warm
from
the nightmares that awaken you at night when the fog dances with the light ;
a slient waltz.
I wrap my arms around your ghost
and search for you through an icelandic winter night.
Your eyes are alight with the breath of the ocean tide;
And i know
that love finds its way through conversations that echo
your words that have no sound;
a sigh in the waves of the wind;
a glass of chardonnay between us
as we smile and laugh at the cosmic joke;
music in the wind.
