Misunderstandings

Confusion makes you queasy,
Nervously depressed,
A few words from a friendly fiend
And life can feel undressed.
If you talk to people through computers,
More than once a day,
You should be ready for misunderstandings,
To arrive and ask to stay.
Carefully treading the keyboard,
Your fingertips are burning,
Misunderstandings undermine,
The trust that you were learning.
Your words will sound disjointed,
Your phrases sound contrived,
Misunderstandings makes their beds,
In a mind that’s sleep deprived.
