The Monkey And The Bee

Look out your windows and you shall see,
A monkey playing with a bee!
A bit of a thing with a buzz on it's wing,
This flower pollenator can belt out a sing!
The monkey giggles and rolls on the ground,
A rhymically buzzing soprano-like sound!
Around and around this bee did a dance,
The monkey sits watching, he's truly entranced!
"Come hear the bee sing!", he calls to the beasts,
"We are not coming. We don't care in the least!"
"Oh please, will you listen. Oh please will you try!"
This bee is my friend and I'll show you all why!"
"A bee for a friend! What a goose!"
"Why not a mosquito, snake or a moose?"
"But my bee is so lovely. My bee is so kind!"
"Come listen to him sing. Come don't be so blind!"
"Oh, monkey, you silly. Of course we will come. "
"Your bee is behind us. I think we should run!"
The bee sings so clear and so loud
The monkey smiles watching and so very proud!
A friend like a bee is a good thing to share,
So sing with the bees and run with the bears!
The monkey and the bee,
Singing in the tree.
Monkey cannot sing,
He fakes it with his lips,
Singing like sugar is bad for the hips!
So, you laugh at my poem,
I see now that's true.
And if you don't like it,
The bee has a stinger for you!
Come join the monkey,
Come fly with the bee,
Forget all your worries
And sing along with me...
