Jewelry (a frivolous kind of poem)

I love jewelry,
I love it for its sparkle
and for its golden glow.
It lends an air of mystery,
is it real or is it faux?
Pearls are so cultured, so magnifique,
I wish that I could wear them
each day of the week.
Semi-precious stones adorn me,
with their colored glow
Diamonds are forever,
but I won't live that long I know.
So let the earrings dangle, watches tick,
and bracelets bangle.
Costume jewelry puts on quite a show.
Bring out your golden baubles, sparkling crystals, colored glass,
Life's too short to not enjoy it,
and I just want to make a splash!
