Prayer

One night, three different people lay down in their beds and
prayed.
The first was a young mother. She prayed that her tiny baby make it to
his first birthday. The baby was 4 months premature, and the doctor's
said it wouldn't make it to his first birthday. God listened to her
prayer and granted the mother's wish.
The second person was an old man. He prayed that he would live to see
his great-grand daughter's 16th birthday. He was almost 100 years old
and that was the last wish he wanted; to live to see his only grand
child turn 16. God listened to his prayer as well, and granted it to
him.
The third was a teenage girl. She was unpopular at school and all the
kids there called her "ugly". She layed down in her bed that night with
tears in her eyes. She put her hands together and began her
prayer:
"God, I am so upset. No one likes me, I am so ugly. I don't ask for
much, but all I ask is to be beautful."
And she went to sleep. That night, she saw God in a dream.
"My child," he said, "I have granted two prayers tonight, but I can't
grant yours."
The girl began to cry. She asked, looking up at God with big eyes,
"Why?"
"Because my child," he continued, taking her hand in his, "you already
have what you wish for. My child, you are already beautiful."
