The Octagon of Trust: Ashes and Ruins
I can slowly feel the wind flap and flutter across my fresh skin and my sudden hair outlining my crying face. Inforcers march behind me, gravely pushing there guns into my back, leading me forward. They stop and form a circle around me and put a blindfold over my wet eyes.
When they remove the blindfold, I am sitting in a pale pink room with a woman sitting across from me at an oak desk. Here black hair is strictly pulled back into a ponytail. "I assume you know why your here", she proclaimed.
"Then you'd be right, Congrats. When would you like your medal?"
"Hah", she snickered, looking down at her paper, "How are you these days, I haven't seen you in a while".
'Do we really have to go through this hum drum process over and over again?"
"Just tell me what the Octagon is up to these days and you can be off"
"Oh, just hoping to improve the living qualities of the rich and poor alike. Nothing special. People keep talking about taking action but I'm afraid cowardness has strucken us all".
"Like I'm going to believe that. Last time you said that we nearly had an uprising! I'm trying to help. I have a source saying that some of your members are plotting against the Octagon", she retorted matter-a-factly.
"You say that like it's a good thing. But there are no signs of betrayal, not yet at least."
"Well, that's all I wanted you to know, put on the blindfold and the guards will take you back"
"Hah!" I exclaimed standing up, "Next time you want to keep a place secret, I wouldn't reccomend getting guards of lesser experience with handeling me."
"What do you mean?" She asked tilting her head slightly.
"Oh some other time perhaps, I should be going. I was on my way to someting important before you kidnapped me" I strode out of the room with a smirk spread across my weary face.
The woman swung open the door and ran up behind me. 'You havent told me your name yet"
"Ah yes, you see when you join you select a name that means something to you. Something that means more than it would to others due to past memories or just an instinct feeling. Mines Blaze. To burn, a fire, or to pioneer. My World burned in a fire. Became nothing but ashes and ruins laced upon the sullen Earth. But I shall bring back what was taken and start life a new. But it also means to shine brightly and radiat light off. My goal is to become a beacon of trust, honesty, and hope. But my real name no one will know, no one can know."
I walk over off entering the maze of hallways leading to the exit. The woman stands there, thinking things through her head.
