One day I was in the mall with my girls looking for clothes and spend some time together, we were tired because we were spending five hours already. I enter to a new store that my daughters like. I started to look between the bargains, I walked straight to the clearances were the clearances was placed. In the back of the store I was browsing. The sale was so good deal, that I began to accumulate any attractive blouses. Immediately, a lady approached from nowhere, gazing the same rack of clothes as me. I was notice her around when I was there. I was looking another rack of clothes and the lady approached to the rack passing back and for the close, one buy one. The clothes were on sale and every rack had a sign and the price on it. She asked me, "this clothes are really on that price?" I asked my daughter the same question, "Hey, Britney, sweetie, this clothes over here, this is the real price?" My daughter laughed and looked at me saying, "mom I already told you, yes". I look back to the lady saying , "this is a good deal." Well, this lady asked me, I know you. "From where", I was shocked.
After a 20 minutes of talking she was telling me about her life and she asked me about my life. She told me that it is ok with me one day if she need a place to stay she can move over my apartment. Without thinking I say, " yes" but in my inside, deeper, very deep in my soul I was saying NO!
I knew her, a long time ago, apparently eight long year without knowing that she exits. I never had a contact with her since I move to Wisconsin. I can imagined how a person can asked to a stranger such question. It's seem to me that she was having a big situation with her husband, situation that she cannot escapes. I got aware she was very desperate to be out of that situation. Who can tell me, who knows!
Immediately, when I left the mall she started to call me but I ignore the calls. My daughter was asking me why I did not answer it. For my surprise, this lady call me again, and the next day, and again and again.
This happened because I gave my cell phone number to a stranger and talked to her about my life. I learn my lesson at 43 years old. I remember my daughter asking me, "who is she" every time this person call me back. That good that I did not said where I lived!
