G- Soul Disease

he checked himself into a hospital
thinking the white bed, white walls
and solitude
would scare away his demons

everyone worked for him
they got his food
gave him baths
he just lied in bed
staring at the white ceiling

the demons quieted down
realizing there was heat after them
they ceased operations temporarily

when he left the hospital
the demons waited a little while
then came back full force
now working more secretively
