I Asked The Greats
I asked the greats for the secrets of love
but in their words I found to my dismay
that though they knew no more than others
they tried to pen their knowledge anyway
and now with empathy I sadly say
no man knows love, or I am less than him
let others falsely think they know the way
and make eternal vows to seraphim
I'll dance with dryads nude in lighting dim
I'll play their nightly games and learn them well
I'll seize the night and act on every whim
I'll drench the fires boiling blood to brim
with the gentle warmth of girls with perfumed smells
until the blood within me calmly dwells
