J- Shadow Demon

I wrestle with my shadow demon every day
it doesn't leave me alone
it knows it always has a chance to win
waits for me to make a mistake
planning to strike
with lies of painlessness
and offers of death

I always have to be on the lookout
since it's always on the prowl
I can't kill it without killing myself
it's a reflection of me
like a reflection in a fun house mirror
