M =The memory box

A mass of faded photographs
Beige stained cards
Patented by time
Memories
Flowing
With lifetimes seconds
No embrace, no smile
A crime
Fraying ribbons
Hold your inscriptions
Dusted mildew scars the key
Everything I'am you've shaped
Is all that's left to hold in me
Gently opening your wallet
Remembering our divide
A daughter growing up
Rapt in adolescent pride
No goodbyes, no final kiss
No absolution, no compromise
An average day until you fell
In its wake
Forever-blackened skies
You always seemed invincible
Your arms
The safest place on earth
Full of fun and fairness
Ability and mirth
As I ply the sections back
Missing-you severs like a blade
My childhood poems, letters
Stickmen scribbles
All kept and prized
Since they were made
Tears there only spoil
Each time I return here
To the momentos
That I treasure
Several times a year
Your eyes in pictures never changing
I wonder if you're familiar with my smile
No long lined by immaturity
But impassioned free from guile
The years have amplified horizons
And I'm fair to someone just like me
Histories tumbling full circle
And has opened eyes sightless to see
Refolding every worn out crease
Each memory cherished until the last
A ever within reach
Intensity
Of a forever-absent past
I can simply wish that my memories
Are the only tainted by life's lament
Hope that life's full sphere is through
And no more tears of regret are spent
