Pesky, bob-tailed bandits

Living in rural Britain
Is perfect
As most would say
Now, gardenings my first love
I tend to do it every day
My roses arn't just pretty
There like like children
They are to me
My tomatoes, crimson-globes of nature
My veggie's, an imposing sight to see
I enter veggie competitions
Every single year
It keeps me out of trouble
And makes my hubby cheer
But I'm, being slowly driven mad
And usually at night
By a horde of vegetable terrorists
It's a, sorry, sorry, plight
By day, they sit and giggle
Adjacent to my land
By sun-down, I'm invaded
By the rowdy bobtailed band
I've protected, my land gently
With everything, I've got
Slug pellets, rabbit trip wires
A spiky rigged plant pot
Still their moonlight snack attack
Decimates my veg
There planned advances, set me back
As they, drill beneath my hedge
My hubby, thinks, I'm being paranoid
As I've kidnapped, a feral cat
But my daughters, debunked, my cunning plan
She's fed it, till its fat!
It tries its best to wobble chase
As the rabbits, go whizzing by
But unless it learns to skateboard
Or gains, facility to fly!
My carrots, will keep declining
My parsnips, will be gnawed
My radishes, will wilt
My allotment, will be flawed
I've resorted, to automatic means
I've gone and bought a gun
And every single evening
As the rabbits find their fun
I pick um off in number
As in my veggie-patch, they lie
It hasn't helped my vegetables
But, I've won, best in show, for RABBIT PIE!
