Profitable skies

Shiny-mirrored stockades
Breach infected air
Tacky plastic logos
Screaming there declare
Greying concrete grass suppressers
Flecked with fast food stains
A symbolic tree a shrub
Nature's biological remains
Bridges over orange tiles
Blending tarmac seas for cars
Bath sized plant restrainers
Patching up the scars
Architectural blights
Obscuring all but cloud
Built to be impressive
Nature's new commercial shroud
Chard pollution boxes rise from
Miles of mismatched base
Like environmental demons
Haggling for space
Mother nature rendered sterile
In every inch of city street
Hanging baskets floral caskets
Covet her defeat
Just another conciliation
So we can shop in style
Encroaching on her stolen earth
under concrete pave and tile
Disfiguring horizon
Blistering the eyes
An array of muti clothed
And nourished shoppers
Under profitable skies
