Alpha Omega

It was the beginning
of a beautiful ending.

It was the day all countries declared peace
and all wars would cease,
as respect would reign
and love conquered pain.

It was the day when freedom rang
and all religions harmonized their clang,
as man walked with beast
and all shared in the feast.

It was the day all fears subsided
and no human being was divided,
as the dollar bill lost it's measure
and unity filled the national treasure.

It was the beginning
of a beautiful ending indeed.
