Let them think what they want
Believe the theories they make up to explain me
They're so often wrong and so far out
It's more fun to watch than correct them
Some would say I'm fat lazy or selfish
And they're probably right
But they can't begin to know
Those things which make me tick
Which turn the tables on them
They talk so much they don't think to listen
So they'll never know those things
See the unpenitrateable bubble of silence which surrounds me
They won't notice the gifts they receive
Find the fun in learning
I value that above almost all else
A right to escape in to the smooth uncluttered lines of maths
Where an effect on one thing can be clearly seen on another
Work through a complicated puzzle
Feel the pieces slide in to place
Do they know the games I play
Assume they know me so well
Yet they haven't scratched the surface
Watch me go through the daily routine
But just how much do they pick up.
As I sit there watching
So now you know my world
Or is it just another fleeting glimpse
That again misinterpreted spreads roomers in the water
