I look out the window
expectantly,
Then I realise, I remember
you will never grace me
with your smile again.
Only in my memories.
Each passing day the
pain lessens,
but I don't forget you.
I don't forget the love you showed, or the many
ways you cared.
Death is but a journey
from this room to the next,
I feel you all around me
