Cold winds blow
The trees sway, rustling
In the dark of the night.
Pale moonlight filters through
The dirty clouds,
And the man in the moon smiles.
A solitary owl hoots in
Anticipation of a juicy meal,
And deftly swoops for it's victim.
Tombstones, formiddable in the
Shadows of a million shining stars,
Whose lights are more than a
Lifetime away.
Dark and night aren't enemies.
Don't be afraid, welcome them.
Drink in the stillness and
Let the blackness envelope you.
Close your eyes and drift away,
Safe in the knowledge,
That day follows night.
