Lost

Lost
Stalking my penitentiary, hands embrace the cold stonewall
Dress trailing behind, lost in empty hollow shadows
A smell of dampness clings to my lungs
Eerie ambiance tormenting my conception
I walk into a tunnel lined of old cracked wooden doors
This void burrow vacant, dead of cogent thought
Meandering now amid a vigilant effort, careful not to offend
Eyes cautiously searching, the ceiling is dripping wet
A dungeon of ones torture, feels like I'm trapped within her net
Sinister persistence, urges me forward, a lonely familiar not to
forget
A feeling that loses its character when it senses it doesn't
belong
Chaotic resonance of subdued noise is imprisoned within her song
Shadows floating somberly tease and whimper myths
For those that walked this path before, failed to subsist
A cold chill brushes past my face, imagination taunts like famine
I'm relentlessly walking into dimness, in need of lighter fix
A test of my wisdom, your cradle shall embrace
A day of survival in this lonely place
I look into the distance to see your dark lonesome figure staring
A numb forbidden hunger is the burden of not caring
A tear gently escapes, its essence lingers virtue
Memories grow dimmer in this cave of everlasting curfew
Screams wrenched on an echo, mocks distant memories of before
A puissant smell of withered trust is locked within this door.
Mind is slipping into abyss, dormant like deaths hold
Feelings of angst release in ancient lore's untold
Confused within her maze, searching for the end,
Tonight I dreamt of freedom, freedom to descend
Faith now slips like water, without it's silvery hue,
Body throbs anxiety, seclusion binds like rue
A breath is kept to whisper, daunted by no sound
Eyes kept shut in the dark to deter meetings with the hell's
hound
Time is the bane of such a torment that I tell
No one is around to here my callous yell
I close my eyes one last time to hear the darker worlds of
unspoken
It's then I hear their innocent song, calling this nightmare at last is
broken
