What's the word i'm looking for&;#063;

What's the word I'm looking for?
Words hanging off a picket line
Shouting to be heard
Like a tabloids headline, on the table
Digested with breakfast, how absurd!
The words profoundly travel light,
Stepping into our Intellectual skin
Mixed with cornflakes, milk and sugar
Like a verb without a sin
They store away in tiny cabinets
Files so thick yet bare
Cobwebs keep them company
Forgotten in myths who they forbear
But I knew some of these words
Like friends we used to share
We danced upon space and time
We did each others hair
But not all words are gracious
They sometimes bite my tongue
It's these careless spiteful demons
That make you want to curse
Like little soldiers with their hats on
Some straight, some round, some tall
Made up of many syllables
Imprinted onto walls
With these little words I live
In calm and stormy seas
On occasion we battle till the dawns of time
At dusk we sing under the trees
But all really I want to know
Is where these words are now?
I read them just tomorrow
Today they left me with no vowel.
