Leggings - clarity of sight & hearing.

From about 4.30 am onwards a waft of angry voices bellowed out intermittently – in french.

Last night I dreamed a strange thing, I was sitting in a car, dressed in a long coat, which matched the dress I wore underneath it. It was very smart. I was so pleased with the new clothes. I sat in the back of the car and felt very special. The car smelt of polish.

The lady who drove the car, spoke french. She was British, and had an accent. She drove the car up onto a hill and we went closer to the building we were going to enter. She got out and opened my door.

“Get out!” she said briskly, “I'll open the door for you, and you know where to go.”

“Yes,” I said, she took my hand and took me to the door.

She opened the door. I couldn't see. The light altered. I was back to being blind. Inside voices filtered through to me from further on. I walked down the corridor carefully keeping to the middle. Footsteps matched mine and the Doctor said, “Last operation and you should be able to see something...”

Voices began to scream from outside. I moved closer to the Doctor.

He said, “You are sure you're comfortable with this?”

I nodded. I wanted to see. I wanted to know what green was like.

I had thought of ten extraordinary things before breakfast. I was ready.

The voices began to clamor again. I reached out for his hand.  The world wobbled.  I was climbing a steep wall.  I felt the warmth of his hand. Then he took it away.  He was too far away.  The gulf opened over the increased noise.. 

"Who is that?" he asked me.

I looked to see.  There were people behind me pushing through the double doors.  Vague shapes in the light.  How did I see them? 

"I can't see anyone," the Doctor said from far away, "Only I hear loud voices.  In English too!"

Suddenly I was being pulled away.

“You can't go in there,” someone said.

It was the wrong hand.  It was cold and greedy.  It was the too intrusive again.

These voices are the same clamoring from night to night. Today they messed up, claiming to be from the Czech Republic here to claim things from their government. Is this blackmail or extortion? Given the time they taken doing it? Or is this people smuggling - ?
