Freaky bears

When I'm alone I often stare
For hours and hours at Teddy Bear
And try to think what happens to
The bears whose faces 'wouldn't do'.
I've heard a lady at the factory
Picks bears who aren't quite satisfactory
But then, once picked, are they re-sewn
Or is there somewhere a Bears' Home
For handicapped and crippled bears
Or bears just suffering from tears?
And if there is, please can I go
To visit them, perhaps to sew
Them up, and make them just like new
And maybe just keep one or two?
I'd love them all; an ugly bear
Needs much more love and much more care.
So please don't rip them all apart
For in the kapok there's a heart
And they must suffer awful anguish
Left on the factory shelf to languish.
I'm coming bears, to rescue you
And put you in my freak bears' zoo...
