Discussing image, poetry, film,
the evening's reading by Stewart Conn,
Regaled with tales of Crichton -Smith,
We wined and dined at the Caley Hotel.
Grainne's chocolate cake bled brown,
she left us sharp to catch her train,
Grant he left us sharp as well,
his early starts had taken toll.
Myself, and Haworth, Keith and Stewart,
parted company , shaking hands,
Each man going separate ways,
and exit from the freezing night.
( I chaired a poetry group in Aberdeen from 2006 -2011, and this was written after a reading by Edinburgh Makar , Stewart Conn)
