Immortal Sadness

Flat fallen bed face,
Shattering stars reflect the holes in your eyes,
Wire-crossed lovers and ephemeral kisses
Sign of life sign of the cross lost in sanctity
A season in the hollow ground with autumnal wind
Rushed, pushed and grandiose declarations of love
Flat fallen dead face
A battered bruised flesh beat red and punished
Once a kiss now a fist represents passion
Less softly, softly more disgruntled grunting
Lilac dawn and the fierce breath of wind
Must be wrong or must be loved
Flat fallen red face
A whore! A whore! My kingdom for a whore!
Such harsh times, words and deeds
Urban splash, urban art ghetto
Pretty florescent stars explode in her mind
Phantoms in the brain in dark days
Flat fallen sad face
Once a monument to beauty within the echoing breath of history
Walk around with a visage like a tombstone
Tempus edax rerum
Indestructible loathing sleep tonight
More softly, softly and tightly, tightly
Better than heaven
