BAD DREAM
They came they saw they took, looked back and laughed,
At the gravestone where they'd left the epitaph
'Here lie the ones who don't belong anymore'
Arrogance and greed had won the day
Prejudice would bleed all sense away
From those too good to even see it happening
I saw a woman on tv she was talking about hope and charity
And how the wealth had made us kinder after all,
But the milk of kindness is just hard cheese
If you're down on your luck, down on your knees
And praying for something to change, something to give
What do you do when a bad dream comes true
As the truth you see is turned into lies
What do you say at the end of a day
When your future flashes right before your eyes
