The internet is amazing!
I like to use it to ask it how to spell sometimes, I either speak it on my watch or phone. When I need to add up numbers too at work, which is most days that I am there.
I love it for music, any that I can think of, my favourite song of last year was by a band I saw on telly called, Love Affair, and their song, A Day without Love. I had never heard of them before, but I was watching live hits on telly from the 60’s and that came up. So now I can play it anytime I like. I love the song as much as I love the video of them singing.
My lovely young grandson Darius, asked Paul one of the days when I was at work, “Which way is North?” Paul has got lots of things, and in general he knows where to lay hands on them, at a moments notice, he is that organized.”
At the time that Darius had ask the question, he was about to leave to go home. Paul had said to him, “When you are back here in a few days, I will have a compass for you.”
I was home the next time Darius was with us and Paul had two beautiful compasses, he said, to Darius, “Which one would you like to have?” Darius looked at both and chose one.
Paul then showed him where North is.
When Paul had told me about it, I typed it in on-line and various info came up, I was astonished to find, that there was even an on-line compass.
I clicked on it, and there it was, alive on my phone! It filled the screen of my phone, it was awesome.
I won’t tell Darius, as he would use that instead of the one, he was given. When he is older, I am sure he will figure it out for himself, that he too can use the compass on his mobile, like I did.
With the internet, the sky is the limit, for good, for bad, for music, maths, pictures and for a live compass!

I Love Music!
Lately, I find that silence is better when I write. However, I like to turn up the volume while working on other odd projects around the house. I'm a big fan of The Flaherty Brotherhood and a band called "Goodnight, Texas".

Your thoughts on these phones
Your thoughts on these phones are so true. We are becoming very dependent on them aren't we. I can use it as a torch, and found I put off for quite a long time getting a new battery and strap for my watch, because I could use my phone. What will happen to us when they switch off the internet, such as in political uncertainty in Iran at the moment? Keep your old record, tape and CD players working, just in case!
