I have heard it said, that if you can swim, it is a good way to get all over exercise for the body. So, the arms, legs, body is all catered for.
I was reminded this week, that if you can play the piano, it is good for memory, good for the brain, reducing stress, hand strength, learning a language, as lots of the words, they are in Italian and a lot more!
I used to have clarinet lessons, and I loved it. Later on, before I stopped playing, I had a Teacher and I was her only pupil, it was great playing different harmonies, duets together. I don’t remember why I stopped going. That was many years before I got married.
Last year, at a posh car boot I tried twice to sell my precious clarinet, there were no takers. So, I decided, to reteach myself, via the internet how to play again. In lockdown Meghan bought herself a ukulele and with the internet taught herself how to play and sing, she became very good at it. We were all very impressed with her.
My clarinet, is near my bed, so I can see it, and remember that I am keeping it.
I don’t bother trying to keep New Years Resolutions, anymore, as I don’t keep them!
My plan, is when I know I will be at work, on my own, I will bring my clarinet, and play it then in my break. The building is old and huge.
But it is to make the first step and bring it to work! x
