Turning.

I remember well when Princess Diana died, she was known all around the world, she was the most photographed woman at the time of her death. My children were not born, when she died, yet they know all about her, and my daughter Meghan loves her. Over 2 billion people around the world, watched her funeral. That was Big news.

When September 11th happened, that was Big news too, even today, 24 years later, it is still remembered.

When covid happened that quickly became Big news, words that I had not heard before and words I knew well, popped up like:-

Furlough,

Social distance,

Isolate,

Two meters apart,

Vaccine,

Hand sanitizer,

Face-masks,

Personal protective equipment,

Pandemic,

Quarantine,

Zoom,

Working from home,

NHS - Clapping for them thanking them,

Elbow-bump,

Disinfect,

Pfizer,

Hand-washing,

Swab,

Booster and

lockdown!

I remember standing outside work, in the middle of the road, with no traffic or anyone! It was like a ghost town.

I remember the very long queues to get into the bank, and to get into our local supermarket, then when inside the supermarket, the queue for the tills almost went around the supermarket floor! It was like a horror movie. I remember Dettol and hand sanitizer costing a lot of money and baby formula going for unbelievable prices on-line! At the tills only certain number of items could be bought at a single time. It was very difficult to suddenly carry on buying for my family and for my brother Eric, as I did his shopping every week, trying to convince the same lady at the till, that I was genuinely buying for my family and for my brother, like I did each week. I had a Pass to get into any store, without waiting, but Paul didn’t, so an hour later after I had got into the store, he would join me.

That was a scary time, around the world and the many stories of those who had not made it. At Eric’s funeral there were just 11 of us. It was the smallest funeral I had ever been to. My friend who had to isolate, had to watch her mother’s funeral via zoom! If I remember correctly there were only 6 allowed at her funeral.

When I found Premier Christian Radio, I found on there Turning Point. From listening to Turning Point, I was able to listen to amazing sermons from Doctor David Jeremiah and the fabulous Chuck Swindoll, and other amazing speakers.

If someone has said, to me, his name on September 9th and I would have said, “Nope I have never heard of him,” Or if they had showed me his picture and said, “If you can tell me his name, I will give you a million pounds.” I still would not be able to say his name, as he was a complete unknown to me.

Yet his death, on September 10th has sparked love and hate all around the world! There isn’t one adult who can say, they have not heard of him now. Apparently, he was a household name in America. Hundreds of people in America have lost their jobs, because of what they said about him after his death.

My ears perked up when I heard the name, Turning Point, this has been mentioned, but I don’t know if it is the same Turning Point, that I know of, from Premier Christian Radio or if it is a different Turning Point.

Lots of his words, are quoted around the world, now he is no more, people listened who, like myself had not heard of him before. He is all over social media, and debate about him is trending, for and against!

WOW! Who knew that the death of a man could stir up such passion! I have never known anything like it!

His death, is a Big as Princess Diana death, September 11th, and Covid!

People have pledged to look after his daughters with their money until they are 18.

He was only 31, his death has made a Big impact on the World!
