"Slogan"

My revolutionary piece which should be taken with a pinch of salt please. I understand these are troubling times, and that the pot simmers.
Fears rise in Britain in 2025: divisions amongst us, forced to pick a side, are you right or left?
“Divide et impera!”
The billionaires laughed from the wars they armed that brought the seekers here, but, no matter the side, slogans unite.
Many feverous and bloody revolutions have been galvanized by snappy words.
“Give me liberty, or give me death!” Americans fired in 1765.
“Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité!” Sont les drames de 1789.
“Peace, Land, Bread and Democracy!” Russia rose in 1917.
“Do or die!” Gandhi refuted the British Empire in 1942.
“Stop the boats!”
“Yer da paints roundabouts!”
Britons on the right and left batter back and forth in 2025.
These are echoes of frustrations; fuelled slogans, to divide and conquer, only encouraged by the wealthy tax dodgers in charge of our media. Anything to deter from the British government’s disastrous mishandling of the immigration crisis.
The government understands the power of slogans but for a different purpose, which is to ‘inform’, pah, I say, keep the masses under their thumb.
“Age of Austerity!”
It has sunk Britain into an uninvested and depleted pit since Cameron was elected in 2010 after the ‘crash’, and our government still insists it is right to this day, but for what?
It baffles when the government claims the country is ‘broke’ because of benefit cheats, and fake disability claimants. However, forgetting to mention widows and inheritance tax, and a failed manifesto for the WASPI women that won Starmer the vote, which Labour defiantly defend today.
“Take Back Control!”
Brexit campaigners insisted in 2016, but here we find ourselves embroiled in the…
“Cost of Living!”
“Stay home, protect the NHS, save lives!”
A slogan displayed even on our motorways, as I drove home as a key worker, that the Conservatives coined during COVID.
Boris Johnson was investigated by the police for roaring parties at Downing Street but ‘nobody’ told him that the parties were against the rules; our prime minister at the time, ladies and gentlemen. However, the real scandal, which the media dropped like a hot potato proceeding the pandemic, was the PPE not fit for purpose, which our doctors and nurses were given.
£1.4 billion wasted!
Mind you, we have to watch out for those pesky benefits claimants.
Again, I repeat, years of austerity for the British people and our nation so, in May 2025, Britain could sign a £101 million-a-year deal with Mauritius to lease the Chagos Islands as a military base for a mere 99 years. Furthermore, Starmer estimates it will cost a ‘net value’ of £3.4 billion when accounting for inflation.
Well, my, my, I have a slogan too:
“Biased media, corruption and out-of-touch politicians!”
Not too catchy, despite its truth; but a slogan for a dream of unity, well, it might just shake up the country and our people.

£1.4 billion was not wasted.
£1.4 billion was not wasted. Someone's still enjoying it somewhere. The magic money tree DOES exist if you don't mind screwing the people in the process
