Against The Odds

Against the flow ,
where no one will go,
that’s where you need a friend .

Against the tide ,
it can’t be denied ,
you’ll either break or bend .

Against the grain ,
within the flame ,
is where I found justice came .

Against the wind ,
she took me in where my life began again .

Against the odds ,
waiting for God’s intervention to succeed .

Against it all
we recall the need to pray for what we need .
