The Brave Souls Of Ethiopia
by Paul McCann
They came from Ethiopia
with a begging bowl
their bodies weak from hunger
but evolved in their soul .
The tribes they prayed
and sang their songs
with love in their heart
and waited for a time
when their miracle would start .
Answer the call because
Ethiopia’s in need ,
so many starving people
are looking for a feed .
Ireland heard and understood
for once they all starved too .
They donated millions and
live aid was coming through .
Food parcels where dropped
from Hercules planes in the sky
for the hungry people ,
who watched with tears
in their eye ,
as soldiers came and took away all the food instead ,
and left all the hungry ones
to bury all their dead .

Daily Live Aid
A great gesture that went awry.
In the forty years since Live Aid, things have gone from bad to worse in northeast Africa. Apparently the situation in Sudan is currently the world's worst displaced and humanitarian crisis. Most of us haven't noticed this because there are so many other crises going on.
We need a Live Aid concert every day, or a change in attitude from those inhumane people who hold the power and control the money.
