There is a mountain I have to climb ,

looking for an echo ,

I’m wasting my time .

I’m calling to the distance

but no one hears  me ,

I’m all alone here as far as I can see m

 

Thinking aloud who can I ask ,

I feel the wind as it rushes past .

High on a mountain , the world’s gone deaf ,

without an echo , I’m wasting my breath.

 

No one can hear me, so what care I,

high up on the summit

screaming  to the sky

.

The clouds slowly drift on  by  ,

I can’t find that echo no matter how I try .

 

Hello, hello,  hello are you there,

looking for an echo everywhere,

looking high  looking low ,

are you there ,

looking for an echo everywhere .

 

Once I heard the sound of an echo ,

a  long time ago .

Lost echo , tell me where have you been ,

its been  such a long time here

in between, the twilight

and the first light of the brand new day ,

when I first heard you come to me in a gentle way ,

those echoes fell softly in my ear ,

away up on high where the air is clear   .
