Chapter 2

A New Reason To Live

A series of freak storms were happening all over the world.

The bureau of meteorology could not predict why , when , where and for how long these storms would happen .

The only answer that made any sense was that the storms were being created artificially by someone or some force unknown .

Rumours were going around that aliens were attacking the planet or some cruel dictator was involved to depopulate the planet and control governments at will .

The insolvent forces of nature had now switched into survival mode . As people were celebrating Earth Day another unpredicted wild storm arrived and many people were taken by surprise at its fury . Strong winds tore roofs apart as rain poured down drenching people inside their homes .

It all happened so quickly .

Families who were eating breakfast had nowhere to run to . People sleeping in their beds were awoken by thunderous roars and howling winds . Communities had no answer to the storm and were driven to their knees praying for a miracle .

Then a miracle happened ,

Governments began to pray together . All over the world the human race prayed in one last effort to bring about a global climate change .

That was the day when a new light of hope began to shine .

It was a bright day when , the creatures all over the earth emerged peacefully from their habitats and made their way into the cities and towns .

People also gathered in a sense of wonder . Everyone was drawn as if by an emotional magnet to be in one place together .

Suddenly in the clouds above a spiralling cloud appeared and hovered like a pillar from the sky to the ground .

The pillar stopped spinning and there was no fear . Everyone seemed to know everything would be ok .

An angelic being appeared from the cloud and said ‘

“Fear not. I bring a message in answer to all the prayers that have been send . Sometimes when people pray together miracles happen . Because of love for each other and your love for this planet , you have been granted a reason to continue to exist on earth . Love is the reason and it didn’t take long for an answer to come “

As dark clouds gathered in the sky angelic creatures from the pillar of light emerged and took flight into the dark clouds and within a very short time the dark cloud had disappeared and the sun shone through from above .

A rainbow appeared in the sky and a loud voice echoed from above .

“ I am pleased that your love is strong and how you found a way to pray . Now you have a reason to carry on “

All around the world people had heard the message .

Some began to shake , others to take one another by the hand .

Animals also displayed a strange kind of appreciation of life .

Some danced and made happy sounds and others very clear to see that the world had been saved and everyone had a new reason to exist .

No one could explain why or what happened , but it was something good and from that day they knew they had seen and understood the reason we were given another chance to carry on .

Love is the reason and from that day the people and creatures all over the earth lived happily under one sky where the light shone brightly and the storms had disappeared and darkness had gone away .
