Forget me in this broken shell,
Last night I fell from heaven.
I lost my grip in the dark sky,
And plunged into the frozen river.

Tonight I grow restless,
Sheltered from the fear inside.
Last night I broke my promise,
I dreamt aloud and called your name.

Last night I cried for hours,
Your cold knife cut too deep.
Tonight I'm small and lost,
And I've been this way for days.

But save for distant prayers,
Nothing feels the same.
Tonight those prayers are answered,
