THE FINAL CRY FOR HELP
As she lay there, in the bed, she wondered what what was happening to
her. Where had she gone wrong. How could she make herself better
now.
Her eyes looked down towards her body, thin and weak. She could not
take anymore. She hadn't the energy.
The mirror and her mind had told her a different story - here she was
fat, ugly, miserable. The voices kept taunting her, 'Please eat a little
more', 'just a slice', the words kept turning round in her mind, 'don't
touch it, your already fat, you are already ugly', 'you eat it and you
will be more fat, more fat, more ugly, ugly'. The words echoed through
her mind.
She closed her eyes now, praying she wouldn't wake up the next
day.
She heard another voice - she hadn't the energy now to listen again -
these voices were on the outside world, ' Why are you doing this,
please try and stay with us'.
Not them again. She didn't want to be bothered.
She wanted peace.
This machine by her side, just beeping, getting on her nerves.
How much more could she stand.
'No more', she cried. The machine gave one long monotone sound. As she
departed, she could see doctors rushing, people crying. Another machine
on her chest, it was too late.
She needed help before, not now.
