The Land of Candy Delight

I'm as snug as a bug in a rug in my bed
Dreamy thoughts come and go from my head
As my weary eyes fall closed for the night
I drift off to the Land of Candy Delight
I bounce over fields of Marshmallow so sweet
And arrive in a village where a Jelly Baby I meet
"Hello, I'm Jelly" he says with a smile
"Why don't you stay and have fun for a while?"
So I'm led down a street with Smartie cobblestones
Where the streetlights are towering Ice Cream Cones
The Gingerbread houses stand proud in a row
It's the sweetest little village I ever did know
My new friend Jelly takes me to a beautiful lake
And quite soon I realise it's made of Strawberry Milkshake
A family of Dolly Mixtures sail on a small Wafer boat
Waving and smiling at me as they float
Jelly and I paddle by the edge of the shore
And in the Icing Sugar sand, funny pictures we draw
Armies of Hundreds and Thousands march over my feet
This truly is the land of everything sweet
We laugh as we skip with a Liquorice Lace
Joined by a Pear Drop with a Sherbet face
Then all of a sudden the sun starts to fade
And the Candyfloss clouds start to rain Lemonade
We run to the village past the market stalls
Nearly knocking over some Aniseed Balls
Then as we reach the park the rain finally stops
So we play on the swings with some Lollipops
Then I hear my mother calling my name
It's time for me to go, which is truly a shame
So I say goodbye, promising to return another night
And I wake from the Land of Candy Delight.
