Consciousness

as the light outside dims

i'm reminded of the truth

all that in me thins

no consciousness as proof

did it really happen

or have i slipped away

to some other reality

not known as yesterday

i feel all torn apart

i see me everywhere

my mirror image missing

i have nothing to declare

slinking off to darkness

but only in my mind

i think no one can see me

my truth is yet to find
