I'd got so used to winter
walled in numbness if I bled
it would fall splinters of red
never felt how cold I was
till now Spring's light uncoils
my sleeping path I'm afraid
of moving on the melting ice
that all I know will break
but the pain turmoils my veins
is life waking, this doubt, shadow of hope
I'd not thought to have : that I might
swim this river, Love, with you
