My thoughts turn to you
wondering where you are
as the sun beats down turning
droplets of life to dew.
My thoughts turn to you

waiting for words to be written,
sent to me, byte by byte from you.
Yet in my star filled mind
the truth lies waiting still
knowing they won't arrive, for
every byte that's been written
has been swallowed
by the milky way.
