From Every Corner of Paradise

You remove with subtlety my desire
examine my farthest passions
like creeping ivy
from a corner of your mind
Then look the other way
keeping me guessing
what assumptions you'll make
tonight
as I dream of all the obvious ways
means and forms to trap
forever the quiet fears and loud doubts
which slidder within you heart
from every other corner of your mind
It may or not keep you from falling
those feelings of lust
you should grow to like them
Though not in any of the obvious ways
just let it find that tiny liquid arena of faith
the center tier of your soul
the warm place in your mind
where intuition was born
as the first bud of Eden
bloomed on the Tree of Knowledge
creating the most important
fruit
in the history of this universe
it may or not keep you from falling
like feelings of lust
yet you will grow to like them
I promise you this
knowing well what would appeal to you
eventually taking root in some potent
potential paradise
grounds of courage
even enthusiasm
level ground to examine my deepest creeping passions
moving like ivy at its own speed of light
I promise you this
history will not repeat itself tonight
I guaranteed it
you'll bloom beyond
apprehension
then will come the fruit destined
the deductive hand of Fate
dealing the deciding round
of perhaps what comes as no surprise
even meaningful
in case of understanding
break the glass which protects my soul
You'll have to tell the world how to fit
into this perfect solution
where once before
that faint gleam of trust
met the light of day
then was ours yours mine no longer
You'll have to tell the world how to fit
don't wait
for certainty to come and drag
your wildest doubts out of you
only then can you look the other way
keep me guessing
what assumptions you've made tonight
while I dreamed of all
the obvious ways means and forms to trap forever
my loud fears and creeping doubts
which gather within my heart
from every other corner of Paradise
