POI REVELATIONS
From the innocent eye of a spring dove,
Was whispered the tale of hope and love,
Our precious moon was lonely one day,
When temptation and passion was thrust her way,
For a solitary star had called her name,
In agony it pulled her by the mane,
Why should you moon be here to stand,
Alone in night without a hand,
To hold as your own, so come with me,
Never again will you have to weep,
Forget the earth and selfish man,
Without you they will not stand,
To fight and argue waging war,
Of you my moon I do implore,
Be my diamond in the sky,
Together on heaven we shall lie,
Slowly the moon began to fade,
Her brightness faltering another shade,
When in the dreams of a simple child,
Came a comet with a smile,
Cosmic son of this earth,
Convince the moon of her worth,
With your pleas grab my tail,
And I shall brave this starry gale,
Together we shall catch the moon,
Without her grin the night is doomed,
From the light now was dark,
For she had lost her brilliant heart,
Oh moon, oh moon, do not go,
Without your light all is cold,
Oh moon, oh moon stay with me,
Bathe your light upon our sea,
Only with your lunar kiss,
Do our lives maintain some bliss,
Oh moon, oh moon do not part,
With that, the moon did choose,
Her path lay within the runes,
To flood the nights of many dreams,
Touching many with radiant beams,
Never to be again alone,
The moon forever had a home,
When the child did awake,
In tribute of night did he make,
Comet moon and little boy,
Together were born a pair of poi,
Without the comet and its tail,
The boy's string would have failed,
So catch your dreams full in flight,
While spinning poi through the night.
