Two New Brains

Dining on salted grain
Enlivens a trodden brain
And sneaks into pores again
Driving with filled up boots
With presents and snowy new shoes
Enlivens a sodden mind
And I go back home
With two new brains
And I sit down stairs
Clothed in wrapping paper
Dining in gravy boats
Sailing to hidden notes
Lost in my closing throat
Dreaming with folky tunes
Marauding with sleepy footprints
Keeping my mind at bay
And I go back home
With two new brains
And I sit down stairs
Clothed in wrapping paper
Living in duvet skin
Armour to dwell within
Completes me like tonic's gin
Watching the nonsense words
Like dragons they roar and burn me
Into a cinder fella
And I go back home
With two new brains
And I sit down stairs
Clothed in wrapping paper
