Dennis was a cop, a leader,
He went undercover as a drug dealer,
He worked his way up the ranks,
Respect was what he got as thanks,
When he was put on the money,
He missed his wife, his love, his honey,
He got to a point that he was respected,
He helped the dealers this detective,
Controlling drugs up in the tower,
Like the hulk he exudes power,
Bit by bit he got sucked in,
The other dealers now his kin,
After three years undercover,
He found himself a new lover,
Together they had a baby,
Does this new life suit him? Maybe!
Then just up out of the blue,
His colleagues from a life he once knew,
Told him would have to arrest,
All the scum he once did detest,
His cooperation was badly needed,
His newfound power made him conceited,
Reluctant he agreed to the plan,
Of bringing down his new found clan,
The biggest bust of drugs to date,
But for him it was too late,
For his wife had moved on,
And revealed he had a son,
A child, for which he had no knowledge,
Straight to the church he went for homage,
About the men he had killed,
Blood on his hands that was spilled,
The big boss taken in to question,
It was not his suggestion,
Liar liar pants on fire,
Caught by the man wearing the wire,
He had a bounty on his head,
The drug dealers wanted him dead,
No end in sight for this operation,
The only option cooperation,
So he sang like a bird,
When finally the court case occurred,
He was frightened for his wife,
His two young kids and his life,
Will he ever be free?
Not for love nor money,
Found on the corner blow to his head,
Is where he was pronounced, dead.
