Buttercup

A fragile buttercup,
Swaying gracefully in the wind.
A whisk of cool spring air
Sends a petal soaring,
Only to land on
a serene, sapphire lake,
Where small goldfish swim peacefully.
The petal comes to a stream
Where the brilliant sunlight
Casts reflections
On the glassy water.
The stream races around the rocks,
Hurling the petal with it.
All of a sudden,
An immense waterfall.
It plunges
Into the crystal clear waters below.
