The Memories

You glistened like sunlight
You shone like the sun
Your eyes were like water
I knew you so fine
You would touch me
My hand, my hair-
And I would shiver
At your fingertips
You were my gift
My hopes
My everything
A delinquent's dream
Passer by to few
Stranger to most
Dream to some
Reality to me
I loved you
Like I loved life
So deeply
Perhaps more
A brutal mistake
To have shut my eyes
During that memory
Because I missed a moment
Of seeing your face
Oh, your lovely face
The boy with the wild hair
Who would dance with the wind
And play the piano
So heartbreakingly perfectly
I wanted that boy back
The one in brown attire
The country charmer
The seeking roamer
Oh help! I want him-
I need him
I desire him
My only whole
Save me sage
Or kings of glory
Put that whistle to your lips
And call my boy back
