I had a UPS. It used to give a backup of twenty minutes. After nine months it started to give a backup of only two minutes so I decided to take it to the shopkeeper from whom I bought. He told me that it would take fifteen day to repair it. I kept the ups in the shop and went to my room.
Fifteen days passed away. I called shopkeeper. He told me that it would take two more days. It made me sad. I disconnected the phone. I started thinking that these days you can’t trust anybody. People can’t keep their words. People are like this only. I took a long time to retain my mental balance. The shop was ten minutes from my room. If I wanted I could go there every day. After two days I decided to call him. When I called him on the office phone somebody picked up the phone and replied that he is not in the office. He would come to the office in the evening. My depression increased. I was afraid to start the computer without a UPS because I read in the past that if your computer closed illegally it could damage your computer. I again called him in the evening. This time he replied that it would take two more days.
Two more days passed away. I was thinking of visiting the shop. His shop used to open at eleven in the morning. I went there at eleven. This time I was lucky. He was present in the shop. I asked him about my UPS. He replied that the battery which was replaced had some problem so he had to return the ups to the mechanic. Now it would take more time. I was more frustrated this time. This continued to happen for a couple of weeks.
I thought that I would not get the ups back in a polite way. I have to be hard. I went to shop and started shouting at him. It made the shopkeeper angry. He told me rudely that he would not return my ups in any circumstances. He told me to use all the connections I could use to get my ups back. I was now helpless and disheartened. I decided to quit. I decided to start the computer directly on electricity.
I used to live in the area were students of different colleges were residing. A group of students were planning to buy a couple of computers. I told them the name of this shop but I also told them that the servicing of the shop is very poor. Whenever I met anybody I told then my problem. Every effort was useless. I was not seeing a single ray of hope to get my ups. There was a boy who used to live at a distance of ten minutes. His name was Vikas. One day I met him. I explained him my problem that one shopkeeper took my UPS for repairing and now he is not returning it.
After a couple of days I meet Vikas. He told me that he had gone to the shop to buy a computer part. He asked the shopkeeper why he was not returning my UPS.
A couple of days passed away. I forgot that I had an UPS which I had given to a shopkeeper for repairing and he is not returning it. It was sitting with my friends. Suddenly my mobile phone rang. A unknown number was displayed. I received the call. When I received the call I was astonished. It was the shopkeeper whom I had given my ups. He asked me my address I was staying. I asked him the reason. He told me he is going to return my ups. I was shocked. He came by a car. He took out the ups from the car and gave it to me. I thanked him. I started thinking what made him return my ups.
In the end I came to the conclusion that it was my networking with the boy and the shopkeeper which made him return my ups.
