She sits in the chair rocking back and forth.
Wont let anyone help her,
Wont let anyone care.
Long gone are the children and husband,
The grandkids are to busy to care.
The old woman dies alone
And still no one really cares.
It's only 5 years later,
And Tommy needs some help.
He's in £6,000 of debt,
But his poor granny's six-foot deep
His granny was alone when she died,
For you cannot count the nurse.
The nurse who cared more than Tommy did,
Yet never asked for a thing.
And this is why Tommy shall never know,
That had he visited poor granny,
He would've had 50 grand to his name.
So I'm sure that had he known this,
He would've visited granny every week.
