Vouchers for the Tourist Camp

I took three vouchers for the tourist camp - for myself, for my mother and my son. Took for two terms, as usual. Always before we were lucky with the weather, but now the rains and rains. Already, my eyes ache from reading; all stories, which I knew, I have retold son many-many times. And mother already is grumbling - in summer house she suffered of rheumatism. But the rains do not spare us. We could not use even one term and the remaining vouchers decided to return.

Already being in city I've interceded in my trade union committee, shuffled my feet in accountancy and got the money back. But some mistake befell – money, I see, was written out for the both terms. However I picked up, said nothing, though felt myself rather uncomfortable. I am standing and suffering at the cash office. Little money is, but it’s pity to give back. And shame not to give. Still I am walking away. Slowly, heavily, but I leave. Come up with excuses, one more nasty than another. Already I am going down the street, but still an appropriate justification does not appear. Dense clouds are hovering, and something rattles either overhead, or right inside it. Suddenly the rain started, even shower. I run into the nearest porch - oh! - It is a court. If to believe in something, then everything turns out very logically. There are many people in the hallway, all of them gloomy and anxious. Just finished a break and the gloomy people flocked to the courtroom. It could be seen from a window that the shower did not subside. I, too, entered the hall and sat at the entrance.   

A woman is judged for distortions at the work. All accurately proved. It is clear that not once she was engaged in such affair, but only single episode so far was proved. And it struck me that all the serious talk was in connection with the ridiculous sum - even smaller then mine, but similar. It became very uncomfortable. And the guard at the door somehow looked at me more closely. The defendant continues to get out of a scrape and yet is very confused. And so I feel sorry for her! And felt sorry for myself. And my miserable money in the pocket I feel as heaviness. It seems that security guard as with X-ray eyes sees all. I got up to leave, but he does not let - have to wait for a break. Barely persuaded him - I can not wait - and just under the heavy rain rushed back to the work.  

Accountants are looking at me suspiciously. Of course, they took the money, but I still beg to rewrite the payment paper. They pose: we rewrite, do not worry and go... Oh no! I do not want to squirm then like that poor woman, especially since money has been paid. I passed all the disgruntled looks, all the ceremonies of special pauses waited, but still returned the receipting, and broke it with pleasure.

So there is no rain. The blue puddles are gently shining. And summer has not gone yet.

Maybe we have left the tourist camp in vain?
